In anticipation of hearing back about possible interviews for jobs I've applied for...I find myself wanting to go to bed earlier (being on a different time zone over here in Asia). Then I wake up at like 3:30 am to check my ipod email to see if I have any encouraging news. It's like my body does this naturally without setting an alarm. I hope this week to hear some news so that I know there are possibilities. Right now it's quite the battle in my mind...knowing He will provide...but not knowing when or how. It's good to reflect on the past to see how He's provided every step of the way.
This weekend I baked a lot in preparation for a bridal shower. It was good timing...gave me something hands on to do - a nice break for my mind from the thoughts of the future move. My big project was the cake below. I made 4 layers...with my little oven...each layer took around 30 minutes of baking. So overall it was around 2 hours of baking along with the time it took to make the cake batter. It's fun for me and a stress reliever to do projects like this. The most fun was decorating the cake. It's been awhile since I've done one...but I hope to do more once I'm settled back in the states. The ingredients are much cheaper and easier to find in the US than here. :)
