Now it has hit me – I am leaving – my apartment is empty! I have one more night here, and my stomach is in knots after all the goodbyes and last minute errands and packing. I attended my last church service here (also called Fellowship). They had a special goodbye service for those of us leaving. Over the past 2 months the Fellowship hasn’t been able to meet because of some higher up (aka Chinese govt.) decisions. I can’t go into details, but we haven’t had our usual Sunday meetings. So this last big meeting was held in a hotel conference room. Afterwards I ate one last meal at a favorite western restaurant – a normal Sunday tradition – lots of memories talking over meals with friends after Fellowship. I will miss these times so much!
